NERIST B.Tech Course Admission Procedure 2014-2015
North Eastern Regional institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) is located at Nirjuli in Arunachal Pradesh. This university is a technical institute for science and technology and was established by the Government of India. This university opened its door to the students in 1986. From 1994 this university has been funded and controlled by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. NERIST got the deemed university status in the year 2005. This university offers courses in different branches of Engineering and applied science in the undergraduate and post graduate level. Doctorate degrees are also awarded by this university. The university also offers two year master of Business administration program. The undergraduate studies consist of three modules called certificate, diploma and degrees. The students can select the module according to their convenience and learning ability.
The eligibility needed for the candidate seeking admission to the B. Tech course is a pass in the plus two level examinations with physics, chemistry and mathematics as subjects of study in the plus two level or should have vocational training in electrical, automobile technology or in computer science or the candidate should posses a NERIST certificate. The student has to appear for the entrance exam conducted by NERIST. For engineering courses the candidate must appear for the NEE III exam.
Admission to the B. Tech course of the NERIST is based on the merit obtained in the NEE III entrance exam conducted by NERIST at the different centers in the North eastern states of India. Lateral entry to this course is also possible. The selected candidates will be short- listed and intimation will be sent to the candidates.
