Low fat burfi recipe

Ingredients to prepare low fat burfi:
80gm skimmed milk powder, 1tsp canola oil, 100ml low-fat or semi-skimmed milk, 2 tsp brown sugar, 2 crushed cardamom
Method to prepare low-fat skimmed milk:
Take a pan and heat 1 tbsp oil in it. When oil gets heated, add brown sugar to it. Stir continuously. Cook till sugar gets totally melted.

Now add skimmed milk and stir continuously. Add cardamom powder and mix well.
Now add milk powder mixture to it and stir it well. Cook for 7 more minutes on medium flame.
When the mixture starts becoming stiff and starts leaving the sides of pan, pour it on a greased proof paper. Allow it to stand for couple of minutes so that mixture cools down.

Using sharp knife cut neat square pieces from it and serve.
You all would glad to read that canola oil which is used for preparing burfi is one of the healthiest cooking oil. It only contains only 7% low saturated content. Moreover fat free skimmed milk only contains 4% fat in comparison to whole milk. So don’t think much and start preparing this low calorie dish!
