Durga Puja – Bengali Association of South Africa (BASA)

Bengali Association of South Africa (BASA) is a premier non profit organization. It was founded in 2005 by Bengali Community of India & Bangladesh. They celebrate Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Laxmi Puja, Saraswati Puja, Holi, Diwali, Poila Boisakh (Bengali New year) etc. The association is based in Johannesburg. It promotes language, literature, culture and heritage of Bengali community and India. People of other Indian states are also welcome to join the Association. This pooja is also known as Johannesburg Durga Puja among the Bengalis in Johannesburg.
