Mint cucumber raita
Ingredients to prepare mint cucumber raita:
2 cups thick yogurt, ¼ tsp red chili powder, ½ cup chopped mint leaves, salt to taste, 1 large grated cucumber, ½ tsp sugar, ¾ tsp cumin powder
Method to prepare mint cucumber raita:
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and blend nicely.
Ingredients to prepare classic raita:
1 onion, 1 tomato, 1 cucumber, ½-1 cup geek yogurt
Method to prepare classic raita:
Dice cucumbers, onions and tomatoes. Toss them together in a big bowl.
Now add yogurt in it and stir nicely.
Add salt and mix.
Refrigerate the prepared raita at least for 30 minutes.
Ingredients for channa raita:
2 cups yogurt, 1 cup boiled chickpeas (boil with salt to taste), salt to taste, 1 large green bell pepper diced finely, ½ tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp chaat masala, 1 tsp lightly roasted cumin seeds ground coarsely, 1tsp sugar
Method to prepare channa raita:
In a big salad bowl, blend curd nicely to remove lumps.
Now add all the ingredients and salt as per your taste. Mix well.
Ingredients to prepare avocado raita:
2 avocados, salt to taste, 1 cup fresh unsweetened yogurt, 1 medium chopped onion, 2 chopped tomatoes, juice of ½ lemon, 1 chopped green chili, ½ tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, ½ chopped fresh coriander leaves
Method to prepare avocado raita:
Remove flesh and seed from avocados. Put these ingredients into mixing bowl and mash to prepare nice paste.
Add tomatoes, onions, green chili, spices and lemon juice. Also add coriander leaves.
Mix all ingredients and then blend with yogurt.
